AN fittings/lines: Feedback needed from your fuel setups | besteflon

To build the fuel setup to work with E85, make sure your fuel lines are: Conductive PTFE lined (corrugated is a nice bonus). This is the best hose material you can buy for several reasons. PTFE is totally fuel/e85 inert and won't degrade over time. It will not leak out fuel vapours like rubber. Corrugated helps it take a smaller radius bend. Conductive PTFE is carbon-impregnated, which makes it electroconductive, allowing the fuel line to ground any static electricity through the hose ends. This potentially can prevent a spark from igniting your fuel system. If you want the outer jacket in braided stainless steel, then you can choose black PVC/PU cover, added black AN fittings for PTFE hose. If you want braided outer cover, you can choose Nylon or Aramid fiber, and get them to spec with crimped ends (JIC fittings). The latter combo is quite expensive.

Nearly all common fuel line is rated for ethanol contrary to popular belief - just go buy high pressure fuel hose, and look at the real it will tell you if it's rated or not.

PTFE is great and all, and if you are not on a budget get it - but it's simply not required and you can use standard hose clamps and hose with barbed ends, braided lines and fittings are nice, easily serviceable and such but not for value engineered builds. I personally went with pressed/clamped custom length lines, never gonna leak and never gonna have an issue removing and reinstalling - quite a bit more expensive than aluminum fittings but worth doing once.

Besteflon provides AN series PTFE lines(smooth bore type or corrugated type) and AN fittings(Crimp type, Reusable hose ends) for fuel system, with outer jacket or textile braided layer outer of the PTFE lines is also available for us, consult us for further details or questions at sales@zx-ptfe.com.
